The day before yesterday, Christmas. Ever since I was a kid, I remember celebrating it every single year. We aren't Christians, religiously speaking. As I grew, I became an agnostic. But that's not the point.
“Chintu has been bugging me a lot. His mischief knows no end. He never accepts the fact that he stole the milk… I've told him like a gazillion times not to do that. She managed to hoodwink her husband on Deewali night by telling him that she has an important meeting with a foreign client. The meeting was supposed to be crucial for her company, and she'll back home in no time. Here she was trying to convince me. That, she can't stay for long. That, she needs to go back to her husband as soon as possible.
For the past couple of months, I declined her multiple dinner invitations. She even suggested the idea of going out for dinner in case I didn't enjoy her food anymore. Actually, I wanted to go out with her or have a homemade dinner at her place too. But ever since lockdown, things have had changed.
